PowerWood is pursuing a number of projects worldwide, initially in North America, to produce Gen2 Biofuel utilizing waste wood and biomass from sustainable managed forests.
The first project is projected to be in Northern Alberta, Canada where sawmill wastes and deciduous timber from sustainably managed forests will be used to produce 200,000 metric tons of Gen2 Biofuel. The project will be a major part of Alberta’s drive for renewable energy.
Further projects in Canada are expected to follow on shortly.
